txtr is building tools and services for digital reading.

Text is how knowledge is stored and processed, and the ongoing digitalization of text will change the ways we acquire and transport ideas. Access to text used to be a tedious experience. We love libraries, but suffered from the obscure filings, the missing volumes or the frustration when the book one desperately needs has been lent out.

Thankfully large amounts of content are available online today, or will be in the years to come: More and more text documents are being digitized and made public. This abundance needs to be managed and calls for new tools, enabling people to create personal libraries, share documents between private groups, and deliver pertinent text when needed and where needed.

At txtr we do not believe digital text is the end of the book, but rather a new beginning. The new world of digital reading needs to be shaped by people who love books.
